St. Aloysius College, George Fernandes’ alma mater , has set up a special enclosure at its library reference section containing his personal collection.

Fernandes donated nearly 4,000 books from his collection to the college in 2013, through his neighbour in Bejai Clawrence Pais. Parliamentary debates from the 1960s, Sri Krishna Commission Report, report by the Justice Mukherjee Commission of Inquiry on the dis-appearance of Subhas Chandra Bose, are among the many books donated. The section is divided into political science, literature, economics and labour, religion and sociology.

George Fernandes, Ek Sahasi Jin, a work in Konkani authored by J.B. Morass, a close confidant of Fernandes, is in the library’s main section.
