Sahyadri college opens entrepreneurship cell

Sahyadri College of Engineering and Management, Mangaluru, on Saturday, opened its entrepreneurship cell to encourage budding entrepreneurs to come out with start-ups during or just after completion of their studies.

T. Prasad, adviser, Centre of Student Enterprise, NITIE, inaugurated the cell, along with Kanara Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Rammohan Pai Maroor.

On the occasion, they also inaugurated the first start-up company on the campus — Sahyadri Dreamers R&D Pvt. Ltd. College Principal U.M. Bhushi and others were present on the occasion.

A two-day workshop on entrepreneurship follows the inauguration, where resource persons from the management stream will be offering guidance to students on start-ups.
