Police are being asked to think from the perspective of journalists and avoid confrontation, said Superintendent of Police B.M. Laxmi Prasad here on Friday.

Speaking at the valedictory function of a month-long yoga camp organised by the Dakshina Kannada Union of Working Journalists, Mr. Prasad said that journalists too work under a stressful environment.

Mr. Prasad said at times police do stop journalists from going to a spot.

“I am asking my personnel to understand from the perspective of journalists. They (journalists) need to go the spot to get a proper understanding of the issue,” he said.

Describing how yoga has helped him in his work, Mr. Prasad said it is necessary to adopt yogic culture and lead a simple life style.
