‘No need of income certificate to add names to ration card’

Food and Civil Supplies Minister to inspect ration shops in State from July 25

Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, Minorities Welfare, Haj and Wakf B.Z. Ameer Ahmed Khan said here on Friday that there is no need to submit individual income certificate for adding the name of a family member to the ration card online.

He was speaking at a meeting of officials of the Department of Food and Civil Supplies.

The minister said he would begin inspecting the ration shops in the State from July 25 from Karwar.

Pending cards

Prameela, in-charge Deputy Director of the department in Dakshina Kannada said about 15,000 ration cards pending to be received in the district after printing.

She drew the attention of the Minister on the pending posts in the department.
