Department of Kannada and Culture has organised the ‘Suggi-Huggi’ programme at Ramakrishna Pre-University College, Bunts Hostel, on June 13. There will be many folk dance programmes like Kamsale, Veeragase, Dollu Kunita, Karangolu, Pooja Kunita, Chennu Kunita and others.

Co-optex will organise a seven-day exhibition of saris at Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Pandeshwar, from June 12. Deputy Commissioner A.B. Ibrahim will inaugurate the exhibition at 6.30 p.m. on Friday. It will remain open from 10 a.m. on other days, a release said.

Communist Party of India (Marxists) will stage a protest in front of the office of J.R. Lobo, MLA, Mangaluru City South at Mallikatta on June 22 demanding sites for the poor. It will take out a procession from Nanthoor Circle to the MLA’s office.

Canara Engineering College, Benjanapadavu, will organise a recruitment for fresh diploma holders at the college on June 18 at 9.30 a.m. Kirloskar Toyata Textile Machinery Company will conduct the interviews. For registration, log on to the college websitewww.canaraengineering.in, a release said.
