The Karnataka State BJP Minority Morcha claimed that throwing of stones at the statue of St. Theresa on the premises of St. Theresa School here on Sunday was an attempt to disrupt the ongoing L.K. Advani's Jan Chetana Yatra.

Condemning the incident, Morcha's vice-president Franklin Montero said the perpetrators of the crime were members of the organisations which were not happy with the success of L.K. Advani's yatra.

“These organisations have used men involved in anti-social activities,” he said.

These organisations had disturbed peace in the district by indulging in acts such as illegal transportation of cows and supply of drugs, Mr. Montero said.
