MADURAI
Special gram sabha meetings were held in all 420 panchayats of the district on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi’s 150th birthday anniversary celebrations on Wednesday.
Revenue Minister R. B. Udayakumar took part in the gram sabha meeting at Gokulam village in Tirumangalam taluk. He emphasized on water conservation and reviving existing waterbodies in the district under State government’s kudimaramath scheme.
Collector T.S. Rajasekar visited some villages and emphasised on cleanliness and development as the main goals.
