The city police on Thursday arrested six persons in connection with the murder of R. Prakash (22), in an abandoned quarters near ESI Hospital at Thathaneri on Wednesday night.
Police said that the victim was picked up by his friends, including Senthil Kumar and seven others, from his house at Kamatchipuram on Thursday evening. The gang questioned him over Rs. 5,000 missing from Senthil Kumar the previous day when they had drinks together, Sellur Inspector of Police C. Suresh said. After a wordy altercation, the gang is said to have hacked him to death.
