The State Human Rights Commission (SHRC) has summoned Lois Sofia’s father in connection with his complaint that the police violated human rights while arresting his daughter.
Dr. A.A. Samy has been asked to appear before the Commission at the Circuit House in Tirunelveli on September 24. He had filed a complaint with the SHRC alleging human rights violations during Ms. Sofia’s arrest for raising slogans against the BJP in the presence of party’s State president Tamilisai Soundararajan onboard a flight and at the airport here.
