Local holiday for temple consecration
A local holiday has been declared for the mahasamprokshanam of Vadabadrasayanar Temple in Virudhunagar on May 22. All State government offices and educational institutions in Virudhunagar district will have a holiday on Friday, without causing hindrance to ongoing examinations. They will have June 13, Saturday, as substitute working day.
Since the holiday has not been declared under the Negotiable Instruments Act, the District Treasury and sub-treasuries will work with limited staff, according to a press release from the Collector, V. Rajaraman.
