Burglars have stolen gold ornaments weighing 78 sovereigns from a house at Aathaarivilai near Thuckalay on Tuesday evening.
Police said J. Leo Prince Mini, 47, had gone to her relative’s house after locking the house on Tuesday as her husband is working abroad and two daughters are pursuing MBBS in the Philippines. When she returned home at night, Ms. Mini found that burglars had stolen 78 sovereigns of gold ornaments from the chest. Based on a complaint from Ms. Mini, Thuckalay police have registered a case.
