Southern Railway will run special fare special trains from Ernakulam to Velankanni on July 6, 13, 20 and 27. Train No. 06015 would leave Ernakulam at 11 a.m. and reach Velankanni at 7 a.m. the next days, a statement said.
In the return direction, Train No. 06016 would leave Velankanni at 6.15 p.m. on July 7, 14, 21 and 28 and reach Ernakulam at 2 p.m. the next days.
The trains would have a composition of three AC three-tier coaches, seven sleeper class coaches, two general second class coaches and two luggage-cum-brake vans.
The trains would stop at Thripunithura, Kottayam, Chenganasseri, Tiruvalla, Chenganur, Mavelikara, Kayankulam, Kollam, Kundara, Kottarakara, Avaneeshwaram, Punalur, Tenmalai, Sengottah, Tenkasi, Rajapalayam, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar, Aruppukottai, Manamadurai, Karaikudi, Tiruchi, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam in both directions.
Reservation for the special trains was open, the statement added.
