A woman, who had come to seek treatment at the District General Hospital here, died in an accident on Wednesday near the hospital.
Nabisa, 68, from Kuzhivelipady, Edathala, died on the spot at the Post Office junction when the bus from which she had got down ran over her when she tried to cross the road from the front side of the vehicle. She used to come to the hospital often for her diabetes treatment.
The bus was on the Pookkattupady-Fort Kochi route. The driver is absconding. The Central Police have registered a case.
