Woman held on charge of duping job seekers

The Palarivattom police arrested a youth on the charge of duping several youngsters by offering invalid certificates of a bogus course.

The arrested is Saishana Hussain, 28, of Kannur. She was arrested on a petition filed by a Kozhikode resident who was allegedly duped.

Saishana is accused of promising unsuspecting youngsters of jobs abroad on undergoing a course at an institution claimed to be affiliated to a national agency.

The accused who promised placements went on to issue fake certificates after collecting course fee ranging between ₹10,000 and ₹50,000. She was produced in court and remanded.
