A run for safe childhood to mark the 30th anniversary of the United Nations Conventions of the Right of the Child (UNCRC) will be held on Wednesday.

Kauser Edappagath, Principal District and Sessions Judge, will flag off the run covering a distance of 5 km at the entrance of the Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium, Kaloor, at 6 a.m. The run is being organised jointly by Childine Kochi, the District Legal Services Authority and the Kochi police.

It is aimed at making the public more responsive to the needs and issues faced by children at every stage of childhood, thus creating a child-friendly society.
