Pannian deposes before commission

May 19, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 06:02 am IST - KOCHI:

CPI leader Pannian Ravindran on Monday deposed before the Justice G.Sivarajan Commission, which is inquiring into the solar scam, that the meeting Chief Minister Oommen Chandy had with Biju Radhakrishnan, one of the accused, at the Ernakulam Guest House was suspicious.

The Chief Minister had stated that Biju Radhakrishan had spoken about his family matters at the meeting.

The CPI leader said nobody could buy this version.

Biju Radhakrishnan was also an accused in a murder case. It could not be believed that the Chief Minister did not know that Biju Radhakrishnan was an accused in a murder case. Therefore, the commission should examine the Chief Minister and others to bring out the truth behind the so called meeting.

The connections of Saritha S. Nair, another accused in the cases, with the Chief Minister had emboldened her to commit the fraud.
