A team led by Kochi Metro Rail Limited managing director Tom Jose has completed the inspection of 23 stations proposed for the Kochi metro, from Aluva to Pettah.
Officials from KMRL, DMRC and land acquisition officials from the Revenue Department too were present at the inspections. The KMRL's Superintending Engineer S. Chandrababu would prepare a report based on the inspection. This would include details like relocating bus stops towards the metro stations and beginning new stops near the stations.
“After getting the report and the feasibility study report from the School of Management Studies, Cusat, on parking lots we will take a final call on the number as well as the location of stations. We want to ensure a hassle free and convenient commuting to metro passengers,” Mr. Jose said.
