: Industrialist Kochouseph Chittilappilly, who concluded his 24-hour-long fast, held to protest against stray dog menace in Kochi on Monday, announced his plans to approach the High Court of Kerala against the Union Minister for Women and Child Development Maneka Gandhi for her alleged connections with the ‘Boycott Kerala’ hate campaign. The fast was concluded around 10 a.m. by sipping tender coconut offered by his wife Sheela Kochouseph.
Mr. Chittilappilly alleged that the origin of ‘Boycott Kerala’ hate campaign is from the office of Mrs. Gandhi.
Pointing out the contradictions of a Union minister running a campaign against an Indian state, Mr. Chittilappilly said a petition would be filed against the Union minister in the High Court within two days.
Earlier, he had alleged that Gandhi’s love for stray dogs is to support pharmaceutical giants that are into the making of anti-rabies drugs.
He also criticised DGP T.P. Senkumar for his stance on the stray dog issue and said that by taking this position, the IPS officer was opposing the State cabinet which had approved killing violent stray dogs.
On the occasion, he also declared the plans to conduct a similar protest in Kozhikode within 45 days.
According to him, the fast held in Kochi was a token protest and bigger protests would be held in Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram in the next stage.
There is no question of backing out as long our concerns on the stray dog issue are met, he added.
