A 25-year-old-man and his father-in-law, Orsu Ramulu, 45, were killed instantly after the motorcycle they were travelling rammed an under-construction culvert in Kunchamarthi gram panchayat limits in the mandal, here on Tuesday.
The motorcycle with four passengers, including a one-year-old baby, was in high speed when the driver V. Kanakayya, lost control of it on reaching the culvert.
The victim's wife V. Sailaja, 19, and their baby, however, escaped with minor injuries, and were shifted to the nearby hospital, the police said.
The accident took place in the evening and was witnessed by farm workers, who were returning home.
The police recorded the events based on eyewitness accounts and a case was registered at Arvapally police station.
The bodies of the victims were later handed over to the family members after post-mortem.
