Tanishq heist: Second accused surrenders

Walks into a Telugu news channel office late Tuesday night, news channel staff hand him over to the Punjagutta police.

The second accused in the Tanishq heist, Anand, who eluded police for over four days, walked into a Telugu TV news channel office late on Tuesday night.

His cousin and associate in the Tanishq showroom burglary, Bhoomana Kiran, had also gone to a Telugu TV news channel office in Banjara Hills to surrender before police on Sunday night.

The news channel staff then handed over Anand to the Punjagutta police and he is being interrogated. The police had recovered most of the gold ornaments stolen by the duo from Kiran following his surrender. However, some of the remaining stolen property was yet to be recovered from Anand.
