Director of Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs of the Punjab Government Anindita Mitra has complimented the paddy procurement system and Public Distribution System being practised in Telangana.
Ms. Mitra, who is on a two-day visit to the State, along with a team of officials, visited paddy procurement centres and godowns and a few fair price shops of the Public Distribution System in Gajwel and Siddipet areas on Thursday. Officials of the Civil Supplies Department of Telangana accompanied Ms. Mitra and other team members from Punjab during the field visit.
The visiting official examined the functioning of ePoS (electronic point of sale) system at a fair price shop in Gajwel. Later, she visited the Command Control Centre at Civil Supplies Bhavan, and examined the functioning of T-Ration App.
Deputy Commissioner of Civil Supplies Chandra Prakash, General Manager of Civil Supplies Corporation Lakshminarayana, and Project Manager (IT) Raghunandan participated.
