Even as trading of charges and counter-charges continued on cash-for-vote scandal, two Telangana Telugu Desam MLAs alleged that the TRS leadership was mounting pressure on them to quit the TDP and join the TRS.
The two MLAs, K.P. Vivekanand and S. Rajender Reddy met Anti-Corruption Bureau director general A.K. Khan on Wednesday and lodged a complaint in this regard. They alleged that TRS leaders including Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and Ministers T. Harish Rao and K.T. Rama Rao called them over telephone and offered them allurements if they joined the TRS. The TRS leaders, they alleged, threatened that the Government would stop releasing funds for taking up developmental activities in their respective constituencies in the event of their not quitting the TDP.
