The V Additional District Judge of the Ranga Reddy District Court dismissed the petitions filed by Tarun Raj against former India captain and now HCA president Mohd Azharuddin here on Tuesday.

“The Judge, in his order, said that since the matters are pending in the honourable Supreme Court, this court cannot take up the matter and hear and dismissed all the petitions including seeking a bar on Azhar attending the BCCI meetings as HCA representative,” according to Ramakanth Reddy, counsel for Azhar.

“Even the contempt case filed against Azhar was dismissed holding that no material was filed before the court to substantiate the allegation of contempt,” Mr. Reddy informed.

“This clears the way for Azharuddin to attend all BCCI meetings and maintain the status of HCA nominee to BCCI. This cements the unanimous160-member resolution of the Special General Body meetings dated October 3, 2019, nominating Mohd.Azharuddin as the HCA representative to BCCI,” Mr. Reddy said.
