Industries and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao has asserted that the proposed Pragati Nivedika, the public meeting being organised by the Telangana Rashtra Samiti at Kongarakolan in Rangareddy district on September 2, will see participation of more than 25 lakh.

Arrangements are accordingly being made to ensure that people attending the meeting are not put to any inconvenience. The Pragati Nivedika, the meeting proposed to release a progress report of the government’s activities since the past more than four years, will be conducted on sprawling 2,000 acre of which 500 acres had exclusively been reserved as the meeting venue. Arrangements for parking, drinking water, toilets, medical equipment and personnel and other facilities are being made on the remaining 1,500 acres. “The TRS has organised several major meetings in the past 18 years. This (Pragati Nivedana) will be the mother of all meetings not only in the State but also in the country,” he said. The Minister inspected the arrangements that are being made for the smooth conduct of the meeting on Tuesday. The venue had been witnessing fast paced works like approach roads and levelling of the ground that had been earmarked for the dais and galleries for the participants.
