Students of Nasr School in Khairathabad came together to sing the national anthem in an event conducted as part of the ‘Stand by your Nation’ campaign by Acer India.

The nationwide campaign is aimed at building support for Indian athletes participating in the Olympics 2012 in London, the organisers informed.

About thousand students were made to stand in rows and sing the anthem together, holding replicas of the national flag in their hands.

The filmed footage of the event will be uploaded onto the Acer’s channel on YouTube. The company will encourage all the consumers to upload video footages of themselves singing the national anthem onto the channel, the company officials said.

For each such video footage uploaded, the company will make significant contributions, which together will go for the welfare of the Indian Olympic contingent.

Similar events are being conducted across the country, in alma mater institutions of the Indian sportspersons participating in Olympics, they said.
