Alleging irregularities in teachers transfers Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy demanded the Government of conducting manual counselling to drive away apprehensions of the employees.

At the felicitation function of C.H. Manaiah, president of School Teachers Federation, at Narsapur on Friday, he referred to some media reports that highlighted the irregularities in web counselling.

The TPCC chief also assured them of restoring old pension scheme for employees while scrapping the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS), if the Congress party is voted to power in next elections.

Appreciating the role played by employees and teachers during statehood movement, he said they did not get any benefit from the State for which they had fought for several years while union leaders close to the ruling party extracted huge benefits and got top posts for themselves.

He also accused Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao of humiliating the teachers on several occasions and the Cabinet Sub-Committee, which was constituted to look into the teachers’ problems, did not come up with any solution.

Even the Health Cards issued by the Government were not being honoured by many hospitals. Mr. Reddy said not a single teacher was appointed in the last four years whereas at AP appointed more than 10,000 teachers.
