A 28-year-old man jumped to death to prevent getting caught by the parents of a girl he was in love with early on Monday.

The incident occurred in Santosh Nagar police station limits.

The identity of the deceased was not revealed by the police to prevent identification of the minor involved.

Police said the man was with the girl on the terrace of the house at 3.30 a.m. where her parents came, looking for her. Upon seeing them, the man jumped to the ground from two floors above, suffering a head injury. He succumbed to the injuries at a hospital on Monday evening.
