A 26-year-old official car driver of a judge in Ranga Reddy court was found dead at his residence at Meerpet here on Monday. Meerpet police said the victim, B. Shekar, committed suicide by hanging himself from the ceiling on Sunday night. Shekar, a native of Jangaon, was working as an outsourced driver to a senior judge in Ranga Reddy court. The police found a note purportedly left behind by the victim, which said that he resorted to the extreme step as he was not being paid on time and the judge was harassing him.

Earlier in the day, the family members of the victim tried to stage a protest in front of Meerpet police station and Ranga Reddy court with the victim’s body. However, their bid was foiled by the police and the body was sent to Shekar’s native place.
