Worried over the repayment of loans, a 30-year-old cooking assistant at a hotel in Abids, who hailed from Nepal, committed suicide on Friday.

Abids police said the victim, Moti Sapkota, jumped from the second floor of the hotel around 11.30 a.m.

“He had taken loan from many people back home and came to Hyderabad to earn enough money to repay. But, for the past several months, he was depressed over the issue and discussed the same with his colleagues several times,” police said.
