Justice Abhinand Kumar Shavili of Telangana High Court on Wednesday directed the State government to constitute a committee of experts to examine the issue of wrongly framed questions and options for answers in the Junior Panchayat Secretary (JPS) recruitment test.

Along with the wrongly framed questions and answers, the committee would also examine the issue of giving questions from 57 to 70 only in English, the judge said disposing the writ petition seeking direction to delete such questions and prepare fresh list of selected candidates. However, officials associated with the conducting of the recruitment test should not be inducted into the committee. Based on the committee's findings, the government can take required action, the order said.

The judge disposed another writ petition related to VPS recruitment test after the government counsel assured the court that it would take up special drive to recruit JPSs in tribal areas if adequate number from tribal communities were not selected for allotment in such areas.
