ASCI to monitor traffic management in city


GHMC has decided to rope in the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI) to act as an independent body to monitor the Hyderabad Traffic Integrated Management System (H-TRIMS).

The twin cities will finally have modern traffic lights soon with Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a government of India undertaking, bagging the Rs. 63.6 crore project to install 220 modern traffic signals in the GHMC area.

The project is expected to be rolled out in a couple of months. GHMC in association with the A.P. Technology Services has floated the tender for supply of traffic signal hardware, networking, installation, maintenance.
