The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC) got another feather in its cap, bagging the elets Leadership Award at the Urban Development Summit 2017 organised by Elets Technomedia.

The award was said to be in recognition of TSRTC’s strides in relatively reducing pollution by using alternative fuels. It was received by corporation’s Managing Director G.V. Ramana Rao, from the hands of Minister for IT K.T. Rama Rao.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Ramana Rao said the government was playing a pivotal role in making Hyderabad a smart city. Playing its role in a modern society, the TSRTC was leveraging technology, he said. The corporation had already introduced ‘cashless’ ticketing and it would be implemented across all centres in a phased manner, he added.
