HYDERABAD: The she-toilets initiative of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) continues to attract funds from corporates and public sector institutions.

Paving the way for the construction of a few more she-toilets in the city, the State Bank of Hyderabad on Monday gave away a cheque for ₹22.50 lakh as part of their corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity to the GHMC officials.

On this occasion, GHMC Commissioner B. Janardhan Reddy said that the civic body is taking special care to ensure that women on the streets are not inconvenienced due to lack of toilets. He said that efforts will be on to construct more public toilets in the near future. Managing Director SBH Dinesh Kumar Khara said that they have also given funds to the Nehru Zoological Park for taking proper care and maintenance of 15 lions.
