The government-organised kite show at Yadadri saw people from about 30 nations flying kites of different colours, shapes, and types, while generating enthusiasm among people who had gathered in large numbers to enjoy the sight.

Trying his hand at kite flying, Endowments Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi government was committed to rejuvenate the distinct culture, language, practices, and traditions of the State. Expressing happiness at the crowds that had gathered at the event, the Minister said he was confident that the numbers would grow with each passing year.

Also present was Yadadri district Collector Anitha Ramachandran, who was seen interacting with the participants and escorting the Minister.

A noteworthy point was that several of the visitors said that earlier they had to go to all the way to Hyderabad to witness such an event, and expressed their gratitude to the government for bringing the kite festival to their place.
