City students win big at science fair

Students of MS Education Academy bagged nine prizes at the ninth National Science Fair held in Chennai recently, bagging 25 per cent of the prizes on offer. ISRO Director Mylswamy Annadurai presented the prizes to the winners.

The students submitted 70 projects, of which 31 projects were selected for the finals and nine won prizes.

Over 500 projects were submitted from across the country, of which 157 were selected for the finals.

The projects of Bushra Khanam, Noorain Nafees, and Khalid Saifullah won the first prize under the environmental science and physical science category, while projects of Leen Waddah Saleh, Sulaim Sultan, Mohd. Akram, and Ayesha Naseer won second prize under the life science, environmental science and physical science category.

The projects of Sheema Fatima and Deena Moin won third prize in the environmental science category.
