Three persons were killed when a container truck rammed into a DCM vehicle on Outer Ring Road near Andhra Pradesh Police Academy on Thursday morning.

The Vijayawada-bound DCM truck stopped on the roadside on the Outer Ring Road because of a punctured tyre. Three persons - Aasghar Ali (25), Babujani (45), K. Raju (25) and driver Khaleeluddin were repairing the tyre when a container lorry coming from Gachibowli rammed into the vehicle.

Aasghar Ali, Babujani and Raju died on the spot while Khaleeluddin sustained injuries and was rushed to Osmania General Hospital where he is undergoing treatment. "The rash driving by container truck driver led to its ramming into the stationery vehicle," Rajendranagar SI, G. Sharath Kumar said.
