Applications for license to operate and install telecommunication towers in the city can now be done online, the South Delhi Municipal Corporation said on Friday.

Under the system, service providers can register themselves with the SDMC or the respective municipal corporation to get permission to install towers. The online system will be applicable for new as well as old applications.

Through the portal, the process has been simplified and made completely online with integrated payment gateways, the SDMC said. The process does not require any human interface by the building department of the corporation or any personal visit to the office. Licenses can be automatically generated by completing online formalities, the civic body added.
