Outdoor classrooms in JNU

Published - April 10, 2018 01:12 am IST - New Delhi

Continuing with its ‘teach in protest mode’ agitation, the Jawaharlal Nehru University Teachers’ Association (JNUTA) has started constructing outdoor class spaces for the remaining teaching period of this semester so that some of the classes can continue in protest mode while the rest can take place inside the school buildings.

The JNUTA informed that these makeshift classrooms will be equipped with whiteboards, fans, a chair and daris , and will be located in the parking lots of School of Social Science, School of International Studies and School of Languages. Meanwhile, the HC termed as “unfortunate and sad” the holding of classes on the staircases in JNU.
