Minors rescued from brothel

Two minor girls who were forced into prostitution were rescued after a raid at a brothel in East Delhi’s Bhajanpura.

The police arrested the brothel owner and the kingpin of the racket.

According to police, the victims who were about 17 years old hail from West Bengal. One of them was lured on the pretext of marriage and brought to Delhi before being forced into prostitution. The other one was brought to the Capital on the promise of a job at a beauty parlour.

The rescued girls are being handed over to West Bengal Police.

Interrogation of the arrested brothel owner led to the arrest of Debashees Mandal, the alleged kingpin of the racket.
