A 35-year-old man was stabbed to death by two persons, including a juvenile, in north-west Delhi’s Mahendra Park on Wednesday night, the police said on Thursday. One has been apprehended while the other arrested, they said.

DCP (North West) Aslam Khan said victim Tejpal alias Chote Lal was stabbed by a 17-year-old and his friend 19-year-old Kapil.

During interrogation, the accused allegedly told the police that on Tuesday, the victim, unknown to the accused, had asked the minor for a matchbox but he refused. “During this, they got into an argument and Tejpal thrashed him with a brick,” said a senior police officer, adding that the accused then decided to kill Tejpal.

On Wednesday night, the minor came along with his friend Kapil and stabbed Tejpal. The victim’s body was found on Thursday Jahangirpuri after which police were called by locals. A murder case was then registered and accused were held with the help of local and technical intelligence.
