A major blaze broke out at the Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) located in the commercial enclave of Connaught Place on Tuesday morning.
The bank is located in Harsha Bhavan. Delhi Fire Service (DFS) officials said as many as 20 fire tenders were despatched to the spot for firefighting operations around 12:15 pm.
"We sent many tenders because of the possibility of some occupants getting trapped in the premises," said a DFS official.
After close to half an hour of being deployed, the fire was brought under control around 12:45 pm.
