The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) on Thursday announced that the School of Management and Entrepreneurship will be renamed to Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship, as a tribute to the late Prime Minister.

“The Executive Council took a few important decisions including the renaming of its newest School of Management and Entrepreneurship. The EC paid its full tribute to the former PM and proposed to name the school as ‘Atal Bihari Vajpayee School of Management and Entrepreneurship’,” said Pramod Kumar, JNU Registrar.

North Delhi Municipal Corporation Mayor Adesh Gupta said the civic body is consolidating a list of institutions including parks, schools, and hospitals to be named after Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

“Out of these, the Hindu Rao hospital is an option, however, the proposal has not been drawn up. Once decided, we will put up the names for approval in front of the House by the end of the month,” said Mr. Gupta.
