A 14-year-old girl was allegedly raped by the owner of a gym in south Delhi’s Safdarjang Enclave, the police said on Tuesday, adding that the accused (27) was arrested on Monday.
He had met the victim when she was in Faridabad and the two became friends, the police said. She told police that he allegedly raped her three days ago and threatened her with dire consequences if she revealed the incident to anyone.
The girl’s parents had lodged a missing complaint at the Safdarjang Enclave police station.
Later, the police learnt that the girl, with the help of her uncle, filed an FIR in Faridabad alleging she was raped.
