A 17-year-old girl was found dead at her male friend’s house in north-west Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh on Saturday, the police said. The friend is absconding, they said.

DCP (North-West) Aslam Khan said the minor was found with her throat slit. “Her parents approached the police around 12.30 a.m. on Saturday stating that their daughter has not returned home since Friday evening,” she said.

Local enquiry revealed that she was last seen with one Sunny. “When the police went to Sunny’s house, it was found locked from outside. On breaking the door, they found the teenager lying dead,” Ms. Khan said.

Manhunt on

A case has been registered under Section 302 (punishment for murder) of the Indian Penal Code and teams are looking for Sunny, the police said.
