A charted accountant was targeted allegedly by members of the Thak-Thak gang on Ring Road near Pragati Maidan. Niraj Jain was going to his office in Daryaganj from Faridabad in his car.

When the car crossed Pragati Maidan at 11.45 a.m., two men on a scooter signalled the driver that there was some problem with the car, the police said.

When the driver and Mr. Jain got down to check, someone allegedly grabbed his bag, containing ₹30,000 in cash, and belongings from the car. A case has been registered.
