The Salem railway division has cancelled services and rescheduled a few trains due to engineering works at various sections under the division.
According to a release, due to engineering work from Karur to Tiruchchirappalli section, the services of train no 76833 Tiruchchirappalli Junction to Karur Passenger, Train 76834 Karur to Tiruchchirappalli Junction Passenger, Train no 06834 Salem to Karur Passenger Special and 06833 Karur to Salem Passenger special are fully cancelled between July 12 and 30.
Trains rescheduled
Train No. 16339 Mumbai Central to Nagercoil Express will be regulated for one hour between Tirupattur-Buddireddipatti on July 13 and 20 and it will be regulated for 2 hours 20 minutes on July 27.
Train No. 13352 Alleppey to Dhanbad Express will be regulated for 15 minutes at Lokur on July 13. Train No. 22637 Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central terminal to Mangalore Junction West Coast Express will be regulated for 30 minutes at Jolarpettai on July 20 and for 1 hour 30 minutes on July 27. Train No. 56111 Jolarpettai to Erode Passenger will be regulated for 55 minutes between Jolarpettai and Tirupattur on July 20. Train no. 22665 KSR Bengaluru- Coimbatore Junction UDAY Express will be regulated for 45 minutes between Jolarpettai and Tirupattur July 27.
Special train
The Southern Railway has introduced special fare special train between Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central and Ernakulam Junction.
According to release, train no.06037 Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central to Ernakulam Jn. Special fare special train will depart from Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central at 8.10 p.m on Fridays between July 12 and 26 and reach Ernakulam Jn. At 08.45 a.m. the next day. Train No.06038 Ernakulam Junction to Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central Special fare special train will leave Ernakulam Junction at 7 p.m. on Sundays between July 14 and 28 and arrive at Puratchi Thalaivar Dr. M.G. Ramachandran Central at 07.20 a.m. the next day.
The trains will stop at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur and Aluva. Train No.06037 will stop at Ernakulam and Train No.06038 will stop at Perambur also, a release said.
