Over 70 students were felicitated here on Sunday by the Ananth Vaidyanathan Voice Akademi.

Voice expert Ananth Vaidyanathan, who has started the academy here, said that 70 to 75 students have been selected for the voice engineering and professional singing education programme to be conducted by the institute. It will be a one-year course and students, aged between nine and 60 years, will be prepared for the next level of the course. The timing is flexible and they will learn how to learn music, to become singers, he said. Of nearly 400 applicants, 75 have been selected to learn at the voice and music training institution.
