A Class XI student was found dead in his hostel room near Attur on Monday.
According to police, the deceased has been identified as J. Dinesh (15) from Kariyakovil. The student was a student of Attur Government Boys Higher Secondary School. According to police, the student has reportedly left the hostel on Friday evening informing hostel authorities and friends that he is going to visit his home.
During the early hours of Monday, while sanitary workers were cleaning the hostel they found the boy dead.
Attur town police have registered a case and are inquiring.
