Short film on road safety

A short film on road safety, Ithu Thaguma, in Tamil which was directed and acted by traffic Head Constable C. Maheshwaran has been dubbed in Hindi as Kyahe yek shahike.

The compact disc was recently released by Police Commissioner A.K. Viswanathan. Deputy Commissioner (Traffic) T.K. Rajasekaran was present.

Mr. Maheshwaran said that the 15-minute-long short film was his fifth, and was released about an year ago. He said that it was released in cinemas after getting clearance from the Censor Board.

“It was screened in 55 cinemas in Coimbatore district for about a year,” he said. Representatives of Rotary Club approached top police officials for dubbing it in Hindi for the benefit of thousands of North Indian labourers working in Coimbatore who go to cinemas. The club would distribute the short film in Hindi in other States too.
