Students from the Nathegoundenpudur Government Higher Secondary School in the district have accused a school teacher of throwing a chair at them.

Petition

In a petition submitted to the School Education Department office here on Thursday, a group of Class X students from the school alleged that this was not an isolated incident.

The teacher had a tendency of losing his temper on several students and had repeatedly thrown objects at students. Further, the students also accused another teacher in the same school of being unresponsive to their questions. They requested the department to resolve both these issues. Chief Educational Officer A. Gnanagowri said that an inquiry had been ordered in to the issues.
